Updates to our Terms of Service (incl. our policy on privacy)

We believe you should always know what data we collect from you and how we use it, and that you should have control over both. As part of our ongoing commitment to this, and in preparation for new data protection laws that take effect shortly, we’re updating our Terms of Service to support you to make the best decisions about the information that you share with us.
These updates will take effect on 25 May 2018. By using our services (incl. this website) on or after that date, you’ll be agreeing to these revisions. Remember, you can limit the information we collect about you or how we use it. You can also choose to delete your data. You have the final say about whether and how we process your personal data. Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

We believe you should always know what data we collect from you and how we use it, and that you should have control over both. We want to support you to make the best decisions about the information that you share with us. That’s the basic purpose of these updated Terms.

When you use our website, even if you’re just looking, we receive some personal information from you, like the type of device you’re using and your IP address. You can choose to share additional information with us like your email address, phone number, contact info, etc. We use this information to respond to you, such as to send you requested material, to mail materials to you, and for things like keeping you informed from time to time about our work and or about DFMA.

In addition to information you share with us, we use your information to determine what you’re interested in. You can modify or correct it or delete at any time upon request to us. If you have questions about this policy, how we collect or process your personal data, or anything else related to our privacy practices, we want to hear from you. You can contact us at any time.

Information You Share With Us

We require certain information to provide and or deliver our services to you. For example, when you submit our online contact form, you provide your consent to receive a response from us or our partners to the email address or other contact address you provide. Our response can include but may not only be marketing material immediately but also in the future. That consent also includes that we will digitally and securely store your data – so that we may keep you informed of new DFMA innovations, products, and services. Thus, when you choose to share your information with us, we collect and use it to operate our services.

Sharing Your Data With Others

In addition to you providing your information to us directly, from time to time we may also use technology like application programming interfaces (APIs) and embeds to make that information available to other websites, apps, etc., for their use in delivering a service to us and or you - for example, for visitor traffic analysis carried out by others for us, to help us improve our services. Another example, is sharing your details with a postal service to send material to you. Whilst we generally make this content available, it is always in a limited and controlled manner and for no charge. We never share more of information thatn is essential for delivering the service for you and to you. The entities that receive your data in this way are not affiliated with us. We might also share your information with our affiliates and or distributors in the execution of our service delivery.

We use your contact information, such as your email address or phone number or IP address, to authenticate your interaction with us. We keep it secure and its use controlled, to help prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
We also use your contact information to personalise our approach toward you, to tailor our services, and to send you information about our products and services. If you provide us with your mobile/cellular phone number, you agree to receive text messages from us to that number as your country’s laws allow. We will also use your contact information to market to you as your country’s laws allow, and to help others services that we utilise, including through third-party services and client applications such as postal services, etc. If you email us, we will keep the content of your message, your email address, and your contact information to respond to your request.

At anytime, you can contact us to request we:

Show you what information we hold about you.
Show you who else (if applicable) has received your data.
Update the data we hold about you.
Delete the data we hold about you.
